SF Bio / Nordic Cinema Group
Part of the new Nordic Cinema Group Platform for Digital Business servicing the cinema industry of the Nordic-Baltic countries. Shown here are parts of the lightweight and flexible modular web channel layer (for more info on the project, please see below).

The web channel layer was designed as a responsive modular design with a default skin, that could be easily adapted in terms of brand artefacts, logos and profile colours to suit each of the six intended markets.

Here one of the personalisation options of the site, setting (or changing) your default city or preferred cities. This simplifies the UI and filters what movies are shown as available to the user:

The UI above also shows how the details of a selected movie is revealed to the user, without ever having to leave the page you're on. This offers plenty of room for the user to change his/her mind, either selecting a different movie or moving straight into show selection and the ticket booking flow.

Above the quick selector module, streamlining the process of choosing a movie, cinema or date, depending on what suits each individual user's preference and intentions.

A version of the mobile content web (still with the default NCG visual skin)

These sketches show how the default skin and different states could be realised for different devices, including ad spaces and different functional modules.

This is the final confirmation e-mail to the customer's purchase, as rendered on both desktop and mobile devices.
The channel layer exemplified above rests on a stable two speed IT framwork, creating a shared film data storage and distribution for six countries while allowing for easy individual market adaptation to fit different branding, structural and functional needs and tailoring the digital offer for each market’s target audiences.
The project was more than a simple re-design; it was a complete re-imagining of what the cinema industry digital offer should be, how it’s realised, adapted, developed and maintained over time, as well as conceptualising and developing the platforms and technologies used for delivery.
As Head of User Experience and Team Lead for the agile digital delivery team, I was in charge of concepts, IU/UX, creative direction and visual design, while leading and coaching the team to successfully navigate a complex project eco system, develop team methods and motivate them to excel in delivery.
